Motor yacht rental in Masuria

Mazury, Motor yacht rental in Masuria
Our yachts were created for your convenience. Inside, they guarantee a high standard, provide easy access to the surrounding nature, and what is very important, they do not require any special skills from you. You don’t need any permissions to run them. The law states that: “(…) It is not required to hold a qualification document to practice water tourism on motor yachts with an engine power of up to 75 kW (approx. 110 HP) and a hull length of up to 13 m, whose maximum speed is structurally limited to 15 km/h which enables our customers charter without patent.” The yachts we offer are maximally friendly. Just like Masuria itself. You do not have to read the sailing regulations or the rigid rules of sailing etiquette. It is enough to know a few rules that we have included below. Above all, however, our yachts have been equipped with a palette of routes that you can choose depending on your mood and desire, there are marked ports, energy and water consumption points and everything that is necessary in such circumstances. In addition, yachts will show the depth and shape of the bottom at all times, warning against anything that may interfere with navigation. We recommend motor yacht rental!

Is it possible charter without patent? Is it possible to sail a motorboat on Masurian lakes without a sailing/motorboat license? Our yachts that we offer for rent in the Mikołajki area they do not require specialized documents for the helmsman. According to the regulations, any adult can drive them.

This is allowed by the provisions of the Inland Navigation Act. According to them, no sailing license is required to drive motor yachts with a hull length of up to 13 m with an engine of up to 75 kW. Our Futura 40 Grand Horizon boats are designed to meet these requirements, so you can charter them without a license.

Controlling our boats is simple

Further Futura 40 Grand Horizon boats are easy to control and completely safe. Everyone is able to learn the principles of steering during a short training conducted by our boatswain.

As a rule, our customers are most afraid of maneuvering in the port and while mooring. Ours especially for this purpose the boats are equipped with a thruster system. It is he who allows for easy and precise maneuvering of the yacht when docking to the quay. When using them, there is no inertia effect or delayed reaction to the rudder movement. On our yachts, the skipper always has full control over the course of the boat.

On the other hand, when sailing on the lake, our yachts use a classic rudder with a fin. Futura 40 Grand Horizon boats, which are rented without a license, develop a speed of up to 11-12 km/h. – safe for maneuvering the yacht and sufficient to move between the ports of the Great Masurian Lakes, regardless of the direction of the wind.

Moments spent on board will evoke positive emotions and leave unforgettable memories – comfort, carefree, joy. Let yourself be carried away by the adventure on the yacht, here every moment is unique.

HOW TO SWIMMING IN MAZURY? WITH PLEASURE! BELOW IS EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW. THE LIST IS VERY SHORT:

  • 1. How to swim safely?

    Toasts on a yacht are seated! In the first place: for the guests of honor, then, as tradition dictates, for those at sea. Sailors traditionally do not clink glasses, because with every clink of glass … one sailor’s soul escapes. The rules on the water are as follows:
    • Point 1. It has to be safe.
    • Point 2. It’s supposed to be nice.
    • Point 3. It should be comfortable.
    • Point 4. End of the Regulations.
  • 2. How easy to deal with in the port?

    When entering the port, fenders should be hung on the sides of other vessels, so as not to damage the deck of our or other boat. Approaching the marina (port) you should call with information that you want to moor (a set of telephone numbers is available on the boat). The boatswain will then direct the boat to the right place. If it is not possible to contact the marina by phone, enter the port and moor in a free place. The boatswain will certainly appear then and connect the boat to electricity and water, indicate the sanitary facilities and the place where the garbage is stored and collect the port fee. Important: when placing the mooring line on the bollard (mooring bollard), place it under the mooring/mooring lines of other yachts – so that each of them can be easily removed. With a large yacht, and ours are not small ones, it is best to moor with the stern to the quay. Thanks to this, it will be easier to get on and off the yacht and the deck will stay clean. Remember to pull up fenders when leaving the port and do not hang laundry on the rail while you are sailing. Such a custom – things are dried in the port!
  • 3. So we moor in the port…

    Before entering the port, mooring lines should be prepared, then fenders should be hung overboard. We enter the port at a low speed, maintaining full control thanks to the thrusters (we turn them on before maneuvers and turn them off after). We brake with the engine, never with our feet, barefoot or hands. We have no chance to stop a yacht weighing several tons with our own body!
  • 4. And if we want to moor outside the port…

    You can anchor anywhere on the lake or bay. We stand so as not to disturb others. You cannot stand on the navigable route, which is marked with red and green buoys. There are buttons to operate the anchor, it extends and retracts electrically, on the bow. However, it is better to go ashore in ports, after mooring to a pier or quay.
  • 5. Who has priority on the water?

    Sailing yachts have priority over motor yachts. In the area of the Great Masurian Lakes, ships of Żegluga Mazurska have priority over sailing yachts. The right-of-way rules for motorized boats are analogous to road rules:
    • you should move on the right side of the road (hence the order to turn right when sailing straight towards you)
    • the one coming from the right has priority. But we advise you, just like on the street, to apply the principle of limited trust!
  • 6. What is not allowed in Masuria?

    On Masurian lakes you are not allowed to:
    • approach passenger and cargo ships, rafts or towing trains and hitch to be towed;
    • to cross a river, canal or fairway on lakes when a passenger or cargo ship is approaching;
    • sail under canals and moor and stay in the vicinity of water structures, bridges, inlets and outlets of canals at a distance of less than 50 meters;
    • anchor on the waterway.
  • 7. How to understand the signs concerning the passage under the bridges?

    A single yellow diamond is a recommendation to go in both directions, and two such diamonds vertically or horizontally is a recommendation to go in one direction (passing from the opposite direction is not allowed).
  • 8. What do the buoys mean?

    It is safest to sail along a well-marked fairway intended for passenger ships. The trail is marked with three types of buoys:
    • green cone-shaped buoys – we pass them by the left side when sailing north (towards Węgorzewo) and by the starboard side when we sail south;
    • red buoys in the shape of a cylinder – we pass the starboard side when sailing north (towards Węgorzewo) and the left side when sailing south;
    • round buoys with green and red stripes – mean a fork/branch in the waterway.
    Other important fights are the so-called cardinal signs – warn of danger. They indicate from which side to bypass them. What they look like, what light characteristics they have and how to avoid them is shown in the cheat sheet below: Mazury, Motor yacht rental in Masuria Mazury, Motor yacht rental in Masuria Mazury, Motor yacht rental in Masuria Mazury, Motor yacht rental in Masuria
